Today is my daughters bat mitzvah. As I am getting ready I am doing a lot of reflecting. I cant believe 12 years have gone by. Another baby, a divorce, sobreity,custody battles and much more. today I will have to show much humility as i will see all of my exes family for the first time since the divorce on my own. i am proud of what I have accomplished so i can stand stand tall but it will still be a hard day for me. I know it is my daughters day and that is why I am there. while I was in active addiction i made a lot of promises that i broke so this is huge for me. she cant wait to look out into the audience and see a sober and happy mom smiling back at her. those are the moments I live for for. If you are reading this just say a little prayer to give me some strength to walk into that temple with my head held up high. I would appreciate it. Thank you.
