Today is my grandfathers 90th birthday! Happy birthday to my Papaw - Tom Waldrop. His life has been an inspiration to so many, and his impact on many more, directly or indirectly. My two most vivid memories of him so far: Being in the truck with him when he was kicking around the idea of running for office. He declared, chewing his unlit cigar: Im tired of raising cattle, I think Ill just raise some Hell. The other was a road trip to California and back after hs graduation. We saw 7 states in 3 weeks, and filled my head with more education and stories than any college could ever do. I believe that trip permanently influenced the man I am today. If I ever accomplish one of the many things he has experienced, I will have considered it a full life. He has been an oilfield worker, oilfield supply business owner, cattle rancher, State Representative and travel companion to all us grandkids. His drive to dream and constant wanderlust for adventure have definitely influenced me as a father, son and friend. A lifetime of memories and stories that I hang on to every word - every chance I get to see him We are blessed to have him with us, and will be celebrating his milestone this Saturday. Happy birthday to my Papaw, a true Gift and trunk of our Family Tree.
