Today is my little girls 4th birthday and its made me consider a few things from this last year. First I am very proud of the kids in my house. Both Jaiden and Penny. These kids have manners and they are respectful and they are very sweet. Penny is an incredible little girl. She still has me wrapped around her finger the way she did when she was born. Im still as adorning and I love protecting her and watching her grow up. Ive come to realize this last year the importance of a fathers role in the lives of little girls. How a woman defines her value is based on how her father valued her and her mother. The way the father treats the mother oftentimes becomes the understanding for what that little girl should expect from a relationship. Does that father adorn that little girl? Does he spend that time teaching her to have a good heart. To take value in talents and abilities rather then what is superficial? To consider the quality of relationships and hold a standard so that she can grow up holding a standard. Ultimately I believe a father instills his little girl with confidence but the question is confidence in what? I would pick a woman with a good heart, that is honest, has a disciplined life and pursues those things that are good for the soul over a Victoria Secret Model anyday. Why? Because my daughter is not a slab of meat and shes not gonna grow up to be one. Shes going to be smart. Shes going to feel confidence in whatever sort of Body God gave her. Shes going to be treated with respect because she sees me treating women with respect. Ultimately, Ive had some great experiences this year because Ive seen some examples of what happens when that father was present and Ive seen examples of when a father wasnt. I cant say this is 100% accurate but some of the best females Ive met really have a strong admiration for their fathers and some of the worst females Ive met have describes some nightmares due to their fathers decisions. Regardless, Im happy to celebrate a wonderful little girl today. Penny, Im thankful for your life and your life has enhanced mine and made me take value and think in depth of many of the things I took for granted growing up. I hope and pray you have all the joy life can offer and the knowledge that you are deeply loved by your friends, you family and your creator.
