Today is proof that 13 is definitely not an unlucky number. 13 years ago today, November 13, 2001, I became the luckiest man on Earth when my wonderful son, Jevon came into this world. J, its hard for me to believe that you are no longer that little baby sleeping in my arms but now a handsome teenager that is standing damn near as tall as I am. Whats not hard to believe is the incredible young man that you are becoming. Smart, funny, athletic, talented, loving, incredible are just a few of the many words to describe you. Pride isnt a strong enough word to describe what I feel each day when I look at you and I truly cant thank God enough for the blessing that is me being your dad. Enjoy your first day as a teenager for its a milestone that only comes around once. At the same time, its one of many milestones that u will reach in this lifetime. Enjoy it. Enjoy ur special day and know that we love you forever. PS. You think that I did the parent thing and rode your a** at 12, you aint seen nothin yet!!!! Love you, son!!!
