Today is that special day we have chosen to reinvigorate our enthuthiasm with spurious appraisals to this palsy walsy of a fiefdom "Nigeria". A nation which has willfully divorce itself from reason and progress yet prides itself as a gaint. Rather than burying our face in ignominious cogitation of our exuberant fiasco to carve a niche in the league of nations renown for piquant accolades, we embark on our characteristic style of recitation of nursery rhetorics "God will save Nigeria", "lets pray for Nigeria", etc. We have failed to acknowledge the reality that we are a conglomerate of incongrous neighbours coerced by colonialism. We do not like ourselves; its either the Hausas versus the Ibos or the Ibos versus the Youruba and the Yorubas versus Hausas. We are neighbours through colonial despotism, we are accidental countrymen. Our refusal to organize a Sovereign National Conference has proven we are not ready to crawl not to mention "walk". Talking about our predicament gives me nausea, as such, I choose not to celebrate a deliberate failure. Until we are ready to face the odour of reality and change our impoverish mentality, then shall we begin to experience miracle.
