Today is the 214th day and also the seventh month since Delivice made its very first grocery delivery to the Ann Arbor community. I would say going through these six months is not easy at all. There are times when we were so excited about getting our first order; when we were upset with the challenges we faced; when we were despair about achieving zero sales; when we were hopeful again as more customers started trusting us by trying our delivery service. I remember the day when I first joined Delivice. We have nothing at all. We have zero funding, no capital, but enthusiasm is all we have. Feeling the pain of students’ difficulty in getting fresh groceries, we are keen to make changes to the Ann Arbor community. We felt really happy when one of our customers told us, “Delivice came to my rescue. I just can’t say enough about how much I appreciate Delivice and their team. Give them a try you will not be disappointed. “ Even though Delivice is not making a million dollar, tentatively at least, we know that in some ways, we are helping the community. We are delivering grocery, but we are also delivering happiness.. I never understand how it feels like to make an impact or a real change, but now I think I start to feel the joy. The ineffable joy for making changes even if it’s small. If you are doing something that u love to do, it’s a passion. If you are doing what you can be paid for or something u are good at, it’s a profession. If you are doing what the world needs, it’s a charity. If you are doing something that you love to do, that you can be paid for, and what the world needs, it becomes A LIFE PURPOSE Unfortunately, for the time being, I couldn’t chase dreams together and work hard together with you guys. But, I believe one day I could join u guys again. Especially thank you Benny Wang, the CEO, who is willing to give up his job at ING and worked full time on Delivice. His enthusiasm and determination always inspire me… and also Yidan Zhang, Suffian Hamzah, and Ankit Goila. Without u guys, Delivice would not be the Delivice today..
