Today is the 25th Anniversary of Tiananmen Square killings. Heres one of the original NYTimes articles written in 1989 by Nicholas Kristof, in which he says, By ordering soldiers to fire on the unarmed crowds, the Chinese leadership has created an incident that almost surely will haunt the Government for years to come. Meanwhile, China is taking down all media and references to Tiananmen Square online, policing the streets, and pretending it never happened.
