Today is the 25th Anniversary of the release of a Kentucky treasure, and one of my very favorite albums, The Kentucky Headhunters, Pickin On Nashville . I knew these guys from way back in high school when several of them were in the band Itchy Brother from the Glasgow/Edmonton area. We (I had attached myself as roadie-doodie-light-sound-whatever dude to my friends band TyBarc) often competed with them at Battles of the Bands and Id see them every now and then thru the years at local gigs. I always liked these guys and it was just awesome that they really gelled together to put together such a kickass band and first album, which won a Grammy! If you dont have his album, trust me, you need to get it. If you do, then today is a great day to put `er on again! The Kentucky Headhunters!, one of Kentuckys finest exports!!
