Today is the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Massacre, where Chinese student activists fought against capitalist reforms the Chinese government was imposing without input from the public. Following the Taiwanese Sunflower Movement in March, where Taiwanese student activists also fought for transparency and accountability in their government, Taiwanese people hold a vigil to remember those who died and their cause. Yet even today, the Chinese government continues to censor and erase the history of Tiananmen Square.
