Today is the day that I join my fellow Christians in celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christs resurrection serves as an example and representation of the rebirth that each of us experiences when we accept Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. Being born again does not, of course, mean we are no longer sinners. We are flesh and blood, and we make mistakes and fall short our entire lives, both before and after we are born again (though some seem to forget that.) Our acceptance of Christ is the beginning of a personal relationship, one that leads us to embrace the beautiful things our Father in Heaven has planned for us, both in this life and the next. For my friends who may not be Christians, and who may not embrace our beliefs in a spiritual plane beyond flesh and blood and a personal connection with the divine, you hopefully share a belief in personal renewal and connection to something beyond the self. If so, I invite you to join with us today in celebrating these ideals.
