Today is the eve of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement! As a Believer is Jesus our sins are already forgiven because of his Blood sacrifice for our sins. But this is a set aside time by the Lord to consider your ways, what you have done to God and to others that was not pleasing to Him and to examine your heart and repent, turn from your sin and to forgive others for the wrongs they have done to you. Instead of a Feast it is a Fast so that you can spend time in His presence instead of eating and feeding our fleshly desires. The Lord heals our land too when we repent and forgive others.
