Today is the first day in 6 weeks that I have felt somewhat normal. Yes I said 6 weeks. I have been intentionally vague about whats been going on with me. In the last 7 months I have had some horrible and tragic life events take place, some I have shared and some I have not. My illness has been the icing on that particular cake. I have been not feeling well for 6 weeks as I mentioned. When I went to my drs after blood tests and other invasive testing it was determined that I needed surgery. It was scheduled and performed a week earlier than planned because I proceeded to get worse. Post-op I contracted an infection. I have had a fever for two weeks. My fever finally broke today. Yay me! :-) Why share all this today? Why not? Its a good thing. Ive had a lot on my plate in the past months and this is finally a good thing. Not saying that there havent been other good things, there have been, this is a really good thing that Ive been waiting 6 weeks for. Thank you to all of you have prayed, provided dinners, listened and hugged me while I have cried. I am so appreciative to all the support that my family and I have received. Thank you to all of you who have stepped in and been family to me when my own mom couldnt be here.
