Today is the first day of early voting. I have already received 3 phone calls from people saying that there is a poll-watcher at the Madison County Administration Building who is being very intimidating toward voters. He even went so far as to try to grab a voters ID out of the voters hands. This poll-watcher is legally there for the benefit of my opponent, Kurt Prenzler. Candidates are allowed to have poll watchers at the polls. Prenzler and his followers believe that more Democrats than Republicans vote early, so it makes sense for them to try to intimidate early voters. I choose not to have poll watchers because I believe the non-partisan election judges are capable of protecting the integrity of the election process. If you try to vote and feel intimidated by a poll watcher, please call the Madison County County Clerks Office and the Madison County States Attorney Office to complain. I am disgusted and appalled by these tactics by my opponent. He can now add bully to his long list of personality attributes. It goes right along with liar and rude.
