Today is the last class of the Huntley Read and Write and Zany Brainy Classes for this session. It has been a real whirlwind of learning and the students loved it. Today we are putting together a newspaper article and they will act as reporters. But the even more exciting events are happening next week when we celebrate Mad Hatters Tea Party. Students will come wearing a hat reading a story and having tea or juice . Students will compare what they know of the Alice In Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. Yes this is a reading and writing class but is so much fun! I hope others will join us for a four week session of experiencing and reading about topics that children can connect to and learn about. This class also helps build fluency, comprehension and prior knowledge while enforcing phonetic skills.
