Today is/was my Dads Birthday. I actually had two dads, the one who bred me, and the one who led me, though life. It is this second dad I speak of. He had custody of me since I was 2 and 1/2, and I hated him everyday of my life for making my real dad look so bad.. Yep. He was that good of a dad, and he eventually adopted me. As I said, I was sure I hated him, until they got divorced when I was 18 and I found myself in my shower, on the floor, crying my eyes out and I had no idea why, lol. Even after the divorce, he was my dad. And that was when we got close. He never once, and I mean ever, said You are not my kid and i do not have to put up with you. And if anyone deserved to have that said to them, it was me... in spades. Thank you Nick Bratto, thank you Dad. I hope you are having a happy day, where ever you are. I am sorry that you died before I pulled up, and that you didnt get see it in person. The day I graduated college, and I walked across that stage, you were the only person I was thinking of... and all those honors? They were for you
