Today is world prematurity awareness day. Our children all weighed 1 pound 12 ounces each and their heads were each about the size of baseballs. I was in a hospital bed for 6 weeks --- sometimes in ICU. Ryans bills alone totaled one million before he was 2 - almost 16 years ago. There were many times we werent sure if he would live. We would not have our wonderful family if not for our wonderful doctors and nurses. Ryan was actually the very first patient in the new BSA PICU years ago. It was a terribly hard journey but we are so thankful. #ryanjuliamason #ounceofpreventionforprematurity
