Today l was treated to a melodrama where a wife invaded a business solemnly owned, operated and registered by her husband, ejected workers and management therein on dubious, obnoxious and vexatious grounds of scaling down the number of employees and with a view of establishing a new management in the best interests of her husbands business who is abroad. What perplexed me most is the criteria she used in coming up with her decisions or executing her decisions as regard the business in which she is not even a proprietor. Where on earth can such reckless actions be condoned in civilized societies if not in a jungle!. In the upshot my free advice to spouses is that we must at all times separate business matters with family or matrimonial matters. Note that it is only in a business owned jointly by the spouses that any of the spouses can interfere or be involved in its affairs when aggrieved or under normal circumstances. This tendency of spouses exporting what is owned jointly by them between the sheets to businesses they do not own must be stopped as it is frivolous and illegal, and when legal proceedings are unleashed against such outlaws the consequences are heavy monetarily and socially.
