Today many ignorant, naive & unsuspecting people are hypnotized & manipulated by the daily mushrooming Pastors whove turned to this new lucrative business of preaching a prosperity gospel & its cult.What did Jesus say to His Apostles in theGreat Commission (Mt 28:18-20)? Did He say,Go ye therefore & preach thmodern day Gospel of prosperity or Go ye therefore &make disciples of all nations? Didnt He say, Teach them to observe whatever I commanded you, and behold Im with you until the end of time? Why is it tht in todays world money and the excessive love of it, have to a large degree superceded the true & the uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ? Are we not guilty of abandoning our core duty of being heralds of the Good News?The Good News is about a person, that person is Jesus Christ. A true & honest Gospel comes from Him and leads back to Him. By this I mean a Gospel that challenges you & me to undergo a radical transformation by the Word of God. Such a Gospel must dvocate a personal +an intimate relationship wth Jesus Christ the Son of God, not some vague/false empty promises. Our core business/duty is to proclaim the Gospel of Gods Kingdom wth all passion and vigour, in season and out of season,cum wht may. True Evangelisation should by no stretch of imagination be seen as some money-making business. Motivational speakers shouldnt be confused with those whm God has anointed & sent to preach the Gospel. Do you really know the difference between the two?The Preacher appeals to both heart and mind with Gods Word. The latter fills your mind with some fresh & recycled ideas just to stimulate your thinking.
