Today marks 2 years to the day that my father passed away. He used to Tell me that time can heal anything but seem like a distant truth as I feel the same pain today as I did two years ago. However we live in the hope that we wil see him again. A man of wisdom, a wonderful father, a faithful husband and a devout man of God. We love you and Miss you Dad x. Although its difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God can tell us why. It broke my heart to lose you, but you didnt go alone, for part of me went with you, the day God called you home. God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered, Come to Me. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away, and although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Dr Aldon Haughton 2014
