Today marks the 150 Day to the kick-off of the 3rd Edition of the Orange African Nations Championship (CHAN) SOUTH AFRICA 2014. This African football spectacle, scheduled to take place from 11 January to 1 February 2014, is set to be yet another ground-breaking tournament that South Africans and the Continent can experience as an event to kick-start the year 2014. Gabon beat Cameroon to join the 13 teams who have now booked their place to this tournament and the 3 host cities; Cape Town, Mangaung and Polokwane are now gearing up to receive Africa’s home champions when they land on this country’s shores. Twelve (12) countries have so far qualified; Burkina Faso, Burundi, Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Nigeria, Uganda and South Africa (as host). There are still 3 more team to qualify: 1 teams from the Central Zone (Cameroon, DR Congo) and 2 teams from the Southern Zone (Angola, Botswana, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe which will be finalised by 1 September 2013
