Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Rwandan #genocide. During the approximate 100 day period from April 6, 1994 to mid-July, an estimated 500,000-1,000,000 Rwandans were killed. Most of the murders happened by the hands of their own neighbors and family members. Please join us in a day of remembrance for all those who lost their lives and the family members who were affected by their deaths. Below is a video of shoebox recipient Alex Nsengimana when he journeyed back to his home in Rwanda last year and reflected on how the genocide impacted his life.
