Today marks the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the rescue! First, we started as Two Women With a Garage, then transformed into The Paw Local Dog Rescue...what a cool year. Lots of learning, tears, smiles, puppy kisses, and crises. Perfect! Honestly:I couldnt have done this with SO MANY people: *To the businesses and groups who continues to support me financially and emotionally (Shoppers Drug Mart; Home Hardware; Timbr Mart; North of 53; Fat Boys; Tru Valu; Dairy Queen; Shanes Music; The New Hawaiian; Integra Tire; Royal Canadian Legion Branch #19; Opasqiua Times; Murray Dunn GM; Integra Tire; Kinsmen Club of The Pas) *To Bonnie Meadows at Precious Pets, who helps me spay and neuter as many animals as possible *The the Manitoba rescue community, who took a chance on some unknown kid from The Pas. *To the Northern Veterinary Clinic (specifically the Dysons and their amazing staff Erin Agerbak Boiteau and Dallas Kerwin) for being so amazing all the damn time and educating me on dog stuff *To Carmen Ward, Flin Flons SPCA Warrior for her friendship, smarts, and support (youre wonderful) *To Keshia S Arbuckle for all of your amazing photography and friendship. Without you, our dogs wouldnt look so fantastic like they are. *To Anitta Sundarampillai, who came from Toronto and made friends with a crazy dog lady. There are so many amazing, open families that have taken dogs in over the years. Today is for you. Our success is all because of you. *To my boyfriend, Danny Halpin, who understands that eating Bachelor Chow and playing video games on nights when his lady is out saving the world is okay.
