Today marks the begining of my 36th year since I entered a new world - the land of the living. Looking back, it has been an amazing journey of lots of things. I was born right in the middle of Amins war with the Tanzanian troops, as my mother was pushing this handsome and innocent boy, soldiers were bringing their wounded colleagues in Masaka Hospital. My mother told that at some point she moved out of the ward and they nearly stopped from coming back into the ward!!!!!!!!! God has, in the first place granted me his grace and wisdom to identify myself with Him in every episode of my life, and I have come to appreciate that all has been the work of God. Like Dolly Parton sings, every episode of my life on this land of the living were pieces of rags that my Heaven Father, through circumstances, people, cultures, environment and social systems, has been putting together sewing every piece with lots of love, patience, care and tenderness. Sometimes I have been impatient with God and his people, gotten disappointed with Him and his people, people have been disappointed with me, I have hurt others, I have been hurt by many, I have been improved, challenged, empowered, encouraged, etc. Other times I have thought like giving up on this journey………but God is not done with me yet, he’s intentional in whatever is going in my life, he is doing something great (coat of many colors) that God is proud of. Surely before the world came into existence, God had thought of me (how I will be born, my parents, place of birth and all that I have so far gone through; chose me to be his own; and anointed me for his divine purpose. That I know well and trust that His purpose for my will surely come to pass. My part is to humble myself and cooperate with my Maker. Am forever grateful to God for all the events that I have been able to go through for the last 35 years, the people he has brought in my life through whom his love has been vividly experienced, the circumstances that have gone through and I have made who I am. Indeed like a hen covers its chicks under its wings for warmth, protection, security, etc I have been under His wings and he’s committed to continue doing the same. And to you my friend thanks for being part of my 35 years story. I honor your friendship and any support you’ve rendered to me. Blessed by the Name of the Lord, my Maker.
