Today marks the beginning of my seventh year of teaching! Our profession is criticized by many, and undermined by others, yet noble it is...We hold our students futures in our hands, we are mentors to doctors, engineers, architects, chefs, gymnasts, basketball and baseball players, etc...as Stan Lee says with great power, come great responsibility so if you are a teacher, today new faces are ready and eager to learn from you! Remember your roots and why you chose this profession--certainly not to improve AIMS scores because guess what? AIMS is gone.... If you are a parent, please support your childs teacher, education really does start at home, we are here to support you too. if you are a student, especially one of my former students, reach for the stars, there will always be time to be a grasshopper later, right now work and work and work some more as an ant and you will go to infinity and beyond!!!
