Today marks the conclusion of a weekend of celebrations at Pacific Adventist University near Port Moresby commemorating and celebrating 30 years of excellence in education. It was a weekend of nostalgia and reminiscing and recalling the way God has led. The campus is beautiful and a credit to those people who imagined, planned and worked hard to see it happen. Doctor Ella Simmons, a Vice President from the General Conference was the main speaker on Sabbath and she challenged everyone with the thought that - with all the education and degrees we can have - what difference does it make? What difference should it make in our world? It was inspiring to hear alumni speak of their experiences at PAU, many of them coming as non-Christians yet finding the Lord there through their quiet encounters with staff and students. It was time to praise God. The picture shows original students from 1984.
