Today marks the one-year anniversary of Radically Hip (aka Cher, the Bear) and me. Hard to believe a whole year has gone by since Bill Rinzema delivered her while everyone sat on the grass and waited and I grazed Molly on the lawn by the south side of the old barn. A lot and nothing much at all has happened since then. Mainly, my Molly, constant problem child, is gone and never, ever forgotten. Cher, show horse, brood mare and recalcitrant mother-flocker that she can be, brings me such joy and a better handle on being a horsewoman every day. Greg Reeves rode her very nicely tonight, no surprise. Thank you, Greg. Jackie Stickwood, supreme stick-handler of all things equine, is helping me while I get better and better as a so-called “Western” rider. Horse life is good. Love you, Cher. So glad I got you, Babe.
