Today marks the two hundred and twenty-sixth anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States by the Constitutional Convention. To commemorate this occasion, Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed the week of September 17 – 23, 2013, as Constitution Week. So here’s today’s history question for you history buffs, how many words are in the U.S. Constitution? Hint – it’s a nice even number. Also, the newest Minnesota Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is the Harriet G. Walker Chapter, which serves the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities. If you are female and can trace your family history back several hundred years, we’d love to have you join us at our next DAR Chapter meeting on Sunday, October 13th at the Shoreview Library.
