Today may seem just to be another day to most of us. But it marks a special day in the life of my good friend , David Null. 10 years ago today Dave was literally at deaths door; his body was failing from a kidney disease; one that his mother died from. His only hope was a kidney transplant. Things didnt look good for David but then the phone rang and he got the word that a kidney was available and was a perfect match. Dave would learn later that the kidney came from a young 15 year old boy from Central Arkansas by the nameof Heath Dorey who died from an accidental gun shooting. Because of young 15 year old Heath Doreys kidney, my friend Dave got a new lease on life. The four hour trip to Columbia, MO was rough but Dave made the trip. Now, 10 years later TODAY, Dave is alive and well because somebody donated a kidney. Eventually Dave was able to make contact with the family of Heath Dorey and eventually visited the young mans grave to pay thanks to that young boy of 15 who would now be 25. I am attaching a picture of Heath along with a plea for all who can to consider organ donation of any type. This is just one example of a life saved and changed by the donation of a kidney. DONATE - FOR LIFE! - God bless Heath Dorey and may he rest in peace. Bless his family for the donation. - And congratulations to my friend David Null on 10 years of good health after his transplant. - Scott Winn
