Today my father Vladimir Erti turns 50 years young. What a great man. Back in late 80s he had the courage to move out from Soviet Union in order to find better life for his family. First he went to Finland to become a welder and shipped Western made products to us and money to my mother. When he had established modest living conditions, he brought us to Parkano, Finland. Today he is the sales manager in oil-logistics industry and a wealthy man (decent soccer player as well). He raised me to value hard work, perseverance and courage to be wrong. I grew up listening country music, watching American TV-shows and carrying a dollar bill in my wallet. And in 2007 I moved to the U.S. Because of him, I am what I am. If I ever become even half of what he is, I should feel accomplished. Happy birthday dad!
