Today my mom was injured at Stop and Shop in Hampton Bays. Three , approximately 10lb. boxes of umbrellas were negligently tossed on a pile of more boxed umbrellas at least 6 ft high, by two workers at the store. My mom was walking in the wrong place at the wrong time down an aisle of the store. Three boxes fell off and hit my mom on the side of the head, her cheek, her shoulder and her arm. The worker , knowing she was hurt, ignoring me and another customer asking him to go to Customer Service with us to get her help, instead chose to pick up the three 10lb boxes so no one would get hurt by them on the ground ignoring a 92 year old hurt woman who was in shock. I asked for an ambulance and after the police arrived at the store she was taken to the hospital, had a CAT Scan of her brain and thank goodness had no bleeding from her blood thinners. She may have a concussion but that we will see as the night goes on. Otherwise she is very sore from her head down to her arm. Think its time to see a lawyer?
