Today my school, The Art Institute of Houston, honored my late husband and best friend on the 4 year anniversary of his passing. For those who dont know, he was a student there as well before he decided to leave and join the Marines. The painting, donated and painted by artist Ken Pridgeon, hangs in the office where fellow veterans and students have to report before every new quarter to pick up schedules and check in. It will be a continuous motivator for me to finish school and to keep moving forward. Its really amazing he is there to remind me that even though hes gone, I still have a lot to look forward to in my life. We all do. Thank you Ken for your donation, and a big thank you to my school for honoring Shane. I love it, and it means so much.
