Today my sister and I are sitting with our father. We will not have many more days. I was thinking of some of the more recent events with him. One in particular stood out. I was helping Dad walk across the living room. He needed help and I extended my hand he took it. Then he said I am taking my daughters hand. There was a time she took mine.She would hold my little finger with a strong grip. I chuckled. It is one of very few stories I have heard from either of my parents about being little and I loved it. That use not a complaint just a realization. I am glad that my Daddy knows somewhere inside that his daughter needs him and knows he is strong. Treasures too good on to.
