Today on the day of my birthday, I must bury one of the most loyal friends Ive ever had, my dog Colby Jack. He died around 2 am this morning at the age of 14. Colby was not just a dog, he had a human-like spirit and a human-like personality. Colby sensed emotion just like us. If you came home, he would be right there with his tail wagging so happy to see you like he never saw you before! He also knew when you were down and would even lick your tears dry if you cried. He always wanted to be around you, sticking his nose in everything you touched to see if in some way he could help out or get into trouble. Yeah, Colby was a mischievous dog too! A typical Jack Russell! Always snooping around the yard for a squirrel, bird, rat, or even an opossum that he could kill and bring to your doorstep to show you his prize! There will never be another one quite like you old boy. So caring, loving, gentle, yet bold and brave! Rest in peace Colby Jack, I will always love you!
