Today on this day in 1941, the first foreign attack on American soil occurred. The American people were united and as a nation we confronted our attackers. We built ships and aircrafts the likes of that had never been seen before. Thousands of men and women volunteered for military service or to help continue to build these massive technological masterpieces of the time. WW II shaped the generation of that time. To this day the men and women that served reflect back on that time in their lives as that time that shaped the rest of their lives. Today we are currently living in a nation divided due to recent tragic events. This divisiveness is predominantly being driven by politicians, the news media, and social media. On this day of remembrance take a moment to stop and look at where we were versus where we are now.
