Today our little grape is 9 weeks and 5 days old! Only 212 days - TopicsExpress

Today our little grape is 9 weeks and 5 days old! Only 212 days to go... 8 days until our next scan... Well, lets cut straight to it- Date day was lovely! The only disappointment? The show! I guess thats kind of the whole date though isnt it??! LOL! Dont get me wrong, it was good, just not amazing as we had hoped it would be! I saw a professional production about 6 years ago and LOVED it! This show I enjoyed, but didnt love sadly! Still, I adore a day out to the theatre any chance I get! I love the atmosphere and buzz, and so for that reason the date wasnt spoiled at all! And dont even get my started on the dumplings! So cheap and SOOOO good!! So, all in all, date day = success! And lets be honest, as long as Im with Chels everything is always wonderful! Grocery shopping even! We truly are best friends as well as life partners and I cant imagine not spending every day with her by my side! Anyway, enough of all that gooey stuff!! :) I had trouble sleeping last night- once again as I couldnt stop thinking about our little one! The whole concept that we will be becoming a family, that a bundle of joy will be entering our life, blows my mind! I just can stop day dreaming about it and love letting my happy thoughts wander in the peace and quite of night! Its special to me and keeps me connected while our little cherub is still on the inside and I cant physically feel him/her!! Chels has been good and much more settled after the UTI or whatever it was has cleared! She should get the results of the latest urine test tomorrow so Ill keep you posted! Last night she did have some issues with having to go to the toilet straight away just after already going! Not like with the very uncomfortable pressure, having to go and not passing anything, but actually passing urine each time! It was more annoying for her than uncomfortable and she thought something else was wrong! I tried to reassure her- that nothing need be wrong all the time, but that her body is just going through major changes and that baby is the CULPRIT behind all of this!! Can anyone relate? Being nearly 10 weeks and having to go to the toilet time and time again, after only just going?? Anyway it didnt last all night, which calmed her! She still has fears that the bladder issues she struggled with will return which makes her anxious! Anyway, hopefully the test results will confirm that the infection has cleared up!! Chels is also heading interstate for work tomorrow! Just for one night, but still, what am I going to do without her! Im certainly not one of those people who cant function when their partners go away, but I hate the distance nonetheless!! I already know that I wont sleep well! There is something so unsettling about going to bed on your own when youre used to having your love next to you! Then again, think about all the space Ill have!! LOL! A little luxury as least! Youll all have to keep me occupied okay?? How, I dont know, but distraction would be appreciated please! LOL! Also, is there anyone out there who has kids/pregnant and hasnt wanted a baby shower?? Chels isnt one to like all attention being on her and she feels a shower would make her uncomfortable! So, shes not keen on the idea! I of course would love to celebrate with our friends, but am sensitive to her reservations! Perhaps does anyone have any baby shower ideas that arent your usual party with games type of scenario?? A nice lunch with everyone would be nice, but surely there are other options!! Let me know what you think!! Anyway, Ill leave things here for today friends! Its been lovely catching up as always and Ill see you all for more random ramblings tomorrow!! Much love xx
