Today our volunteer was walking Uno, our steely colored Pit bull pup like we walk our kids every day and a neighbor dog got off his leash and darted straight for Uno and Amy the dog walker. The dogs owner shouted to look out but with no where to go Amy and Uno stood their ground. Uno DID NOT go after the dog as the dog jumped on Uno repeatedly trying to attach him. Uno stayed cool and stood in front of Amy as if to protect her and himself without hurting the other dog. Uno is a hero and is a VERY SPECIAL BOY! Anyone would be lucky to have him. This apparently is not the first time this dog has gotten loose on dog walks- IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We see individuals show up every day with their dogs wearing collars that do NOT fit properly and invariably the collar slips off the dog - This is often a very dangerous situation.
