Today our world is faced with many catastrophic problems; Our environment is being abused, exploited and destroyed to a point where much of the damage is irreversible, Politics is corrupted to the point where corporate interests take priority over the best interests of the environment and humankind, Our failure to bridge the gap between nations puts us at a constant risk of entering another world war, that could likely go nuclear, The richest 300 people in the world have the same wealth as the poorest 3 Billion people, Scientific progress is limited by the nature of our competitive rather than co-operative society, Established society is a straight jacket to human evolution. The fact is science, technology, and the intelligent use of resources could enable EVERYONE on the earth to live quality of life far higher than even the richest people of today. The Venus Project provides a viable alternative that would eradicate almost all of todays problems by the intelligent and efficient of science and technology. No utopias, no final final frontiers, just applying the best knowledge we have towards fixing the major problems of the world, rather than for personal or monetary gain.
