Today readings showed us how merciful our God is. he is always after us, searching for us even when we sinned against him. looking at the 1st, 2nd and the gospel reading of this 24th Sunday in ordinary time, i can call this Sunday:MERCY SUNDAY. the Israelite abandoned the God that brought them out of Egypt where they were slaves and fabricated a foreign god. God decided to deal with them. Moses pleaded on their behave by reminding God how he promised to make the descendent Abraham, Isaac and Jacob a great nation. God heard the cry of Moses and pardoned his people. Saint Paul in the second reading expressed how Jesus came to save sinners which he is one of them. We re also sinners but Jesus saved us. the love of God for us is infinite. all of us re prodigal son in one way or the other but the Father is always waiting for our return to make a big feast for our conversion, to cover us with kisses full of love and affection, to kill a fat cow, put ring on our finger and shoes on our feet. Let us ask God to give us a merciful heart in our daily dealings with one another. HAPPY SUNDAY TO ALL MY FB FRIENDS
