Today, representing Jezebels, I teamed up with a dear friend of mine and we volunteered for our neighbor Rosa Lindas taking Thanksgiving meals to the poor,sick, and elderly. There was so much food left over that they loaded up our suv and we took the meals to the many homeless people all around town. One guy that I approached started to tear up when I gave him a meal. His gratitude was overwhelming! One meal did that! Can you imagine what he must be going through? Thanksgiving, as well as all of the other Holidays, are really hard since my mother was killed. As hard as its been, Im not homeless and out in the cold. I give thanks for my life... and a mother who showed & taught me by example how to show up for others and be of service. My soul is fed!
