Today`s Classic Video: Growing up with musical parents, I had the chance to hear a lot of different styles, particularly in the car on long rides. As a child, I hated my parents taste, but somewhere in my late teens I began to appreciate artists like Joni Mitchel, early Elton John and even John Denver (gasp!). As my love for my OWN music began to take shape, I realized quickly that some of the stuff my Dad listened to could be construed as precursors to Progressive Metal, namely, GENESIS, JETHRO TULL and KING CRIMSON. I don`t know how many times I listened to In the Court of the Crimson King by the latter but it still holds up as being one of my all-time favorites. Enjoy!
