Today saw Skipton CCs youngest paid member race her first cross race, a borrowed heavy mountain bike from SCC, never raced before and one of the youngest in the category of under tens. 2 mechanicals later having dropped a lap Amber completed 3 of the 5 laps. Was she down hearted and knackered...yes, did I think she may not want to do it again...yes, however within 10 minutes she asked if we can practice mounts and dismounts, do some fast laps round Aireville, practice gearing before and after hills and work on cornering. Top do Amber very proud!!
