Today the Oversight and Government Reform Committee announced that it issued subpoenas to two State Department survivors of the Benghazi attacks to testify before Congress. I believe this is a welcome and, frankly, long overdue step – but it’s not nearly enough. That is why I am calling on the committees of jurisdiction – preferably as part of a formal, dedicated Select Committee on Benghazi – to follow suit and immediately subpoena all of the other nearly 30 survivors of the Benghazi attacks for public hearings. The families of the victims and the American people have been kept waiting too long for answers.
