Today, the U.S. Department of State will begin to issue visas to Chinese nationals in accordance with updated reciprocity arrangements. Under this new arrangement, Chinese nationals applying for B-1/B-2 visitor visas may now receive ten-year, multiple-entry visas. In addition, Chinese students applying for F, J, or M visas are now eligible for five-year, multiple-entry visas. The lengthened validity periods will ease the administrative burden on Chinese travelers and students, who could previously only receive visas valid for a single year. The new rules will enhance bilateral travel and exchange between China and the U.S. Please contact Challa Law for further assistance. travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/news/ChinaVisas.html
