Today the World Cup Kayak/Canoe Race had shown some great results. Whilst I made a boo-boo yesterday, today it is not the case. The official results place Jessica Fox on the top as the winner of the K-1 ladies event. The event did not go without its share of problems. During the actual race in which Rosemary, Sarah and Jessica competed the local electricity power station suffered the emergency which caused the water levels to fluctuate. At that point Rosalyn was placed 2nd...but some 6 remaining competitors did find the going extremely tough - namely the water level rose some 20 centimeters and some of the gates were actually in the water. The race was run and the the race committee brought the best possible decision - the C2 men and K1 ladies was re-run. In the re-run Jessica result was far the best...in fact she was better bay far when compared to other competitors. She finished 1st.
