Today the family, friends and community said our earthly goodbyes to Louis Greene, Spalding County Director of Parks and Rec....even in the saddest moments, no one could share a story about his life that did not bring a laugh or smile! To me his life was summed up at the Celebration of Life at the Senior Center when a co-worker said," At this time the family and colleagues would like to open the mic to anyone who would like to say a few words". Of course many spoke but I thought to myself.....when my final day comes I pray I have lived a life that my family, friends and community feels that there can be an open mic - knowing that a life has been lived transparent, honest, candid, loving and dedicated to bettering the Kingdom of God and always giving more than is taken! What an honor to Louis’s life-an open a mic for anyone to speak - It truly said it all !
