Today, the family of 10-year-old Gabriella Miller of Leesburg VA, who died of cancer in October 2013, watched as the President signed the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act into law. This bipartisan effort, which I was proud to copsonsor, cuts wasteful spending and prioritizes medical research for children. While Gabriella herself was dearly missed at the signing ceremony today, her spunky determination to do what was right and help other people will live on through this lasting legacy.
