Today was Tjs 3rd visit to CHOP. Dr. Phillips, the neurologist/oncologist that has been treating Tj said the optic discs are almost normal which is very exciting because the optic nerves are what first alerted us to this brain cancer and are a useful indication of the expanding or receding cancer cells. Dr. Phillips then said he wanted to change the frequency of our visits from 2 weeks to every 4 weeks which is another good sign.We will do the 2nd MRI around 12 weeks from the 1st MRI which was done Aug 17th. This will give us a definitive answer to how the healing of the cancer is actually doing. He told us keep doing what youre doing, and gave Krissy a hug, He said he is still reserved but optimistic as are we. Tj is still having the headaches that started this whole journey but only about 1-3 times per week. He is feeling a bit tired of the essential oils, Essiac tea and dietary restrictions but we are very encouraged by this visit and want to thank the many kind and compassionate souls who think of us and pray for us so often.
