Today was a good day/bad day....... Alyssa Camp was rearing to GO when the therapists asked her if she wanted to go for a walk. So after suiting up with her splint and boot, she was off!! Long trip down the hallway but she did it and was not giving up!!! (Proud mama with tears in her eyes). She did OK with speech therapy, not great. The afternoon seemed to frustrate her a little more than the morning did. She is up and down in bed, virtually every 5 mins, and we are just not sure what she is needing or wanting. We rotate the chair, using the restroom, watching tv, playing on the iPad, and the massage chair. Once in a while Alyssa will pop through and tell us by pointing or squeezing my hand what she wants, those are moments to treasure. The bad times show frustration in her eyes and it breaks my heart every time. I know she is getting better each day, she has made HUGE strides, and everyone told me for every good day, there may be 2-3 bad days, and vice versa. All I know, is I am anxiously awaiting the day she gets her mouth unwired, and I pray for her to say really mom? Keep those prayers coming and GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!
