Today was a historic day for me....it has nothing to do with my political beliefs....the President of the United States went past my front porch...the same front porch the Olympic Torch past about 18 years ago. Hillary Clinton spoke at the local football field....which I could hear from home...Sally Ride...the first woman astronaut spoke in the middle of the downtown area....Willy Nelson and his band played in a local corn field...the Symphony played on a barge on the canal..Allen Alda..Eunice Shriver and many others have been "right in front of me" and I live in a very small town in upstate New York. I was born and lived in 3 major cities before I moved here....and yes....experienced more here than anywhere.
