Today was a pretty domestic day--making soup, doing laundry--the things that give me pleasure in a quiet way. I also took Jake for his daily morning and late afternoon walks. Its light early in the morning so we walk about 7 am and listen to the amazing array of birds greeting the day. The sun sets just before 5 pm so we walk again around 4 pm to enjoy the cool of the late afternoon. Its interesting to see the world through Jakes interests--what plants to sniff around, what path to follow through the wilderness area near our condo. Today Jake sniffed out some coyote scat (they eat a lot of plant vegetation and like to mark their territory by leaving their scat in the middle of a trail) and watched a flock of birds settle on a palm tree.
